Court St.Ann, Mother of Mary #2419

Circle of Love * Quality of Life

Our Court Projects

Christmas

Every year the Court sponsors a family for Christmas through Catholic Charities. Member, Linda Jurain, manages the process of coordinating this program and obtaining the names of the family members, ages, and sizes. Linda shares the information with the rest of the Court and organizes the efforts to collect a wonderful Christmas package for the family chosen.

We have all been blessed with so much and as it is written, "To whom much is given, much is expected". Our Court has always been so generous in the past in helping to brighten the Christmas of those less fortunate.

Easter

For Easter, Court St. Ann, Mother of Mary adopts a family through Catholic Charities. Our family consists of a mother, father, four daughters ages 15, 14, 9 and 5, and three sons ages 13, 6, and 2.

We provide them with non-perishable foods, kitchen items, and Easter baskets for the children. There is no limit to the donations. A large percentage of the members donate bags of food, Easter themed kitchen items, paper goods, and supplies as well as multiple Easter Baskets and toys for each child. Monetary donations and multiple gift cards to supermarkets, department stores, pharmacies and restaurants are also provided.

Our Court has adopoted FAITH HOUSE

as a continuing project for Quality of Life within our Circle of Love.

Faith house offers amazing local assistance for pregnant and new mothers in need of assistance. This year our "Quality of Life" group helped collect baby bottles filled with monetary donations. These donations go to help Faith House with essentials needed for these courageous young woman.

With these Adopt a Family Projects, the Court is able to achieve the goal of reaching out to those in need by donating money, clothing, food and meeting some of those needs. The impact that this ongoing activity has on our Court is that each member is able to participate in an outreach program to improve the quality of life for those in need. If they are not able to donate items, their prayers of support of encouragement for the project and for those families make them a part just the same. In Unity and Charity, we have shared with those less fortunate. We believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home. No one should be homeless and pregnant. A baby is aborted every 20 seconds in the US. Unplanned pregnancy is one of the main reasons young women leave their homes or are kicked out. Often with no income or education, where do they go? So many women feel like they have no choice, but to abort. 83% of women who have had abortions say they would have given birth if they had support. Faith House exists to help single, pregnant women break this cycle and becoming self-sufficient mothers.
